Condition guide

Near mint

A near mint card should show minimal or no wear. At worst, it should have minor imperfections, such as: (i) minimal edge/corner wear; (ii) very small dents/nicks; and/or (iii) light surface scratches.

Please note: by definition, a near mint card is not necessarily in 'mint' condition.

Light play

A light play card can have slight edge or corner wear, or possibly minor scuffs or scratches. Some of these defects may be noticeable at a glance but they should not be particularly sever, or be present in large numbers. No major defects such as tears, creases, peeling, sharp bends, or writing should exist.

Moderate play

A moderate play card may have edge or corner wear, water damage, scratches, creases, light dirt buildup, or any combination of these defects.

Heavy play

A heavy play card may have significant creases, folds, severe water damage, heavy whitening, heavy edge or corner wear, slight tears, slight writing, or any combination of these defects.

Damaged

A damaged card may have significant tears, massive border or corner wear, major writing or inking, prevalent scratches, folds or creases, or any combination of these defects.
